The process of design is a journey of discovery for both the client and the designer. There are several distinct stages necessary in the process of creating a functional landscape design.
The Consultation
This is our initial meeting at your property when we get to know each other, discuss your needs and plans for your land, and look over the site together. This visit enables us to arrive at an agreement on the scope of the project. read more
The Landscape Plan Proposal
The proposal is our contract that spells out the size of the project and the various details that it will include. It specifies what you will need to furnish to the designer, what the designer will deliver to you. It establishes a time frame for the design phases and a fee. read more
Measurements and Photos
Once the contract has been signed and the necessary plat, covenants and deposit have been received, the part of the property to be designed is photographed and measured. An in-depth analysis of the site will take place during this visit. read more
Development of the Base Plan
From the measurements taken, a base plan will be drawn to scale on paper and an initial conceptual design sketch/sketches developed based on the information gleaned from our consultation and from the site analysis. Over a series of three to four meetings, we will work collaboratively to move the design from a rough conceptual skeleton to the finished cohesive design. read more
Installation
After the copies of the finished plan have been delivered complete with plant list, contractor notes, drawings of any important structural details, a quote for installing all or part of the plan can be provided. You may choose to do all or part of the installation yourself, or Eco-Scapes can be contracted to install your dream landscape. read more
