Her design work for our difficult sloping site created charming four-season views from all the interior windows, and really tied the house to the land with sweeping beds and graceful dogwoods in the understory to the front. But what we really, truly have enjoyed the most is the wonderful Zelkova she planted beside our rear deck. It has grown quickly to create a beautiful umbrella of foliage to shade our deck and has given us great pleasure.

The year after we bought a house in Williamsburg, we contracted with Helen Janele of Eco-Scapes to help us redesign our tired old house and yard. She actually suggested several cost-saving changes and addition of minor details that really made our house look bigger, newer, and more inviting. Not only was she willing to let us do much of the work ourselves, but she also brought us the plants we needed and supervised the installation work. Our house and finished landscape looked wonderful! Suddenly, in the middle of February, we had to move out of state, and our house sold in only two days for the asking price!!
